Arranged for Concert Band
Joaquin Turina (1882 - 1949) was a leading Spanish pianist, conductor and composer, known for his piano pieces but also for his particularly colourful orchestral works. He studied in Paris, where he became acquainted with impressionist composers, and later became professor of composition at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid, which now bears his name.
This orchestration for Wind Band is made from the first piano piece of the cycle "Verbena Madrileña Op.42".
