Wind Quintet based on selected paintings/sculptures of Rik Wouters
The Rik Wouters Suite is written for the classic wind quintet combination (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon). It consists of 5 movements, based on 5 works by Rik Wouters (three paintings and two sculptures). Like the paintings by Wouters, the musical language is colorful and voluptuous. Part 3 is based on the sculpture 'het zotte geweld' of 1912.
