Paas-trio opus 167 / Easter-trio opus 167

Het Paas-trio is een werk voor 2 violen en piano en bestaat uit een samenvoeging van 3 werken die ook apart zouden kunnen worden uitgevoerd.
Deel 1 en 2 staan voor het lijden en sterven van Christus.
Het 1e deel staat in D klein, de ultieme toonsoort van de dood en het noodlot, de toonsoort van de Vissen, de lijdenstijd.
Deel 2 is een elegie die begint als een bewerking van een koorwerk [Solus] die over het sterven van Christus gaat. De 2e helft is de elegie, de oneindige droefenis die het lijden van Christus en het lijden in de wereld in ons opwekt.
Deel 3 staat voor de opstanding op Paaszondag, de triomf, de jubel van de overwinning en eindigt in de ultieme Opstandingstoonsoort E groot, met het Opstandingsmotief, [C-D-E in C].

The Easter trio is a work for 2 violins and piano and consists of a combination of 3 works that could also be performed separately.
Part 1 and 2 represent the suffering and death of Christ.
The first part is in D minor, the ultimate key of death and fate, the key of the Pisces, the time before Easter.
Part 2 is an elegy that starts as an adaptation of a choral work [Solus] that deals with the death of Christ. The second half is the elegy, the infinite sadness that arouses the suffering of Christ and the suffering in the world.
Part 3 stands for the resurrection on Easter Sunday, the triumph, the jubilation of victory and ends in the ultimate Resurrection Key, E major, with the Resurrection Motive, [C-D-E in C].
