Albert-John (1980) started his musical career at the age of six with "Vlijt & Volharding" from Oost-Souburg in a recorder group and then as percussion apprentice. He followed the percussion training at the “Zeeuwse Muziekschool” and almost naturally followed the study classical percussion at the Brabant Conservatory in Tilburg.

In addition to percussion, he started studying Windorchestra conducting at the conservatory with Hardy Mertens and graduated cum laude in 2003. Albert-John also studied composition at the same conservatory with Willem Jeths and Maino Remmers.

In addition to his work as a conductor for various music associations, Albert-John is affiliated with the Zeeland Music School as a percussion teacher. He has also focused on composing and arranging; he writes compositions spontaneously or on commission for all kinds of line-ups.

Albert-John (Oost-Souburg, 1980), startte zijn muzikale loopbaan op zijn 6e jaar bij ‘Vlijt & Volharding’ uit Oost-Souburg in een blokfluitgroepje en daarna als slagwerk leerling. Hij volgde de slagwerkopleiding aan de Zeeuwse Muziekschool en bijna als vanzelfsprekend volgde hierop de studie klassiek slagwerk aan het Brabants Conservatorium in Tilburg.

Op het conservatorium is hij naast slagwerk een studie HAFA-directie gaan doen bij Hardy Mertens en is daarvoor in 2003 cum laude afgestudeerd. Tevens heeft Albert-John aan hetzelfde conservatorium, compositie gestudeerd bij Willem Jeths en Maino Remmers. 

Naast zijn werk als dirigent voor verschillende muziekverenigingen is Albert-John verbonden aan de Zeeuwse Muziekschool als docent slagwerk. Hij heeft zich bovendien toegelegd op componeren en arrangeren; hij schrijft spontaan of in opdracht composities voor allerlei bezettingen.
