Rise is a concert piece for Concert Band
Rise is a reflection of the feelings of the composer after the Corona pandemic. Time to start up again, however it felt so overwhelming when the music scene started again. So the composer needed to rise up to certain challenges, overcome them and settle again.
The piece is build with the concept of the golden ratio or Phi in mind. The form is dictated by several overlapping golden ratio, in an attempt to find the right length for every part of the piece.
