Asta Hyvärinen ”Wired” (2020) for violoncello and electronics/fixed media

Notes

The violoncello part is not meant to play with exact synchrony of the electronic/fixed media part. The best way for  cellist to do it is if the player can use a clock that helps her/him to follow time (seconds running) from it (the piece has been performed in that manner so far).  

Time line is marked at the beginning of every staves and there are also other marks  in the score that helps the player staying in chart.

The violoncello should be amplified slightly with microphone. It’s not recommended to use contact microphone, because it’s probably disturbing the performance. It is difficult to find right place for a contact mic because of the extended playing techniques.

The electronics/fixed media is not meant to be as a background track but equal with the violoncello part.
