A cheerful work that reflects the desire to make music together for fanfare
Looking Forward was commissioned by the municipality of Steenbergen for the restart of the orchestras after the epidemic.
A stately opening that shakes everyone awake. After the introduction, the cheerful and floating character puts a smile on the faces. We look forward to playing together in the orchestra again. In the middle part it threatens to go wrong, but luckily it turns out well. Another theme emerges and is developed towards the end. We conclude the work with a reference to the introduction.
A light, energetic and airy opening for every concert.
