Program Notes
Organetto was composed in 1982 for mechanical organ, using the effects of half open stops, and looking forward to more effects.
The piece has no theme, no particular motif, no form. It's a suite of different ways to use an organ. This can be done in a classic way or in a less usual way.
The title does not have much to do with the piece, or perhaps it does: if there is one type of organ on which you cannot play the piece, it is an organetto. It doesn't really matter, except that it does have an element of playfulness in it. So no heavy organ music, because there is enough of it already. But it is music that can only be played on an organ. The effects used cannot be achieved with other instruments.
It has been recorded on CD by:

it was revised for organ and DSP, created during the AULO symposium in Paris, Sainte-Elisabeth, October 2019. It was revised again in the Orgue et Electronique Festival in Mougins, Cannes
