Václav Vačkář, born in 1881 in Dobřejovice (Bohemia), was a Czech composer and conductor. He composed more than 330 works, including many military marches and folk music. From his melodies you can feel his love for music and for people, and this is undoubtedly one of the reasons why he has been popular for almost a hundred years.
