Party music based on birthday themes
In 2011 The Orchestra of the Royal Netherlands Air Force celebrated it's 60th birthday. For this occasion I was asked to write a piece with various birthday themes. Besides cartoonish quotes there is also room for Stravinsky-like party music, and a jig where everything comes together. A tough assignment for the listener to discover all the themes!
