CONCERT BAND
Dit kerstllied is ook wel bekend als Hymn for Christmas Day en The Hymn for Christmas. De tekst is geschreven door Edward Caswall (1814–1878), en de muziek is gecomponeerd door Sir John Goss (1800–1880). Goss gaf het advies dat het kerstlied het beste solistisch kan uitgevoerd door een ‘Treble’ of ‘Tenor’, elkaar afwisselend. Dit fraaie arrangement is echter voor volledig orkest bedoeld.
