Clarinet octet
In 1907 the American composer J.W. Bratton wrote the "teddy bears' picnic". In 2010 I arranged this piece for the Orchestra of the Royal Netherlands Air Force for wind octet and later for double clarinet quartet. You will hear both the influence of the serenade for wind by A. Dvorak and the ragtimes of S. Joplin.
In 1907 schreef de Amerikaanse componist J.W. Bratton de "teddy bears' picnic". In 2010 bewerkte ik dit stuk in opdracht van het Orkest van de Koninklijke Luchtmacht voor blaasoctet en later voor dubbel klarinetkwartet. U hoort zowel de invloed van de blazersserenade van A. Dvorak als de ragtimes van S. Joplin voorbij komen.
