Wind orchestra
“Shalom was originally written for an arranging-contest for the Riccotti Ensemble, but rearranged for Concert Band. It is based on three Yiddish themes: “Shalom Aleichem”, “Shalom Chaverim” en “Havenu Shalom Aleichem”. These three themes are intertwined to become a swirling piece.
“Shalom” is oorspronkelijk geschreven voor een arrangeerwedstrijd voor het Riccotti Ensemble, maar bewerkt voor harmonieorkest. Het is gebaseerd op drie Jiddische thema’s: “Shalom Aleichem”, “Shalom Chaverim” en “Havenu Shalom Aleichem”. Deze drie thema’s zijn volledig in elkaar vervlochten tot een wervelend muziekstuk.
