About "Wals van Fantasie"
Wals van Fantasie (Waltz of Fantasy) is the first composition of Steven Henry and is until now the most succesful one. In this piece influences can be heard of Camille Saint-Saëns and George Bizet.
The world premiere took place in 1999 and was performed by Auletes (concert band of the Eindhoven University of Technology), conducted by Jos van de Braak. After this succesful premiere the piece has been performed several times by various concert bands throughout Europe.
