Program Notes
As the title suggests, Sea Pictures is a piece which aims to evoke some moods pertaining to the sea. While the piece itself is not programatic, one could easily fit a story onto the music.
The first bars are a quote from Vaughan Williams' 1st symphony, poetically called 'A Sea Symphony', hence the quotation.
Various moods come to pass, like: Vastness, desolate, but also Swift, and Dangerous. And of course all the other things one can find.
