15 Studies in swing, rock and latin for piano solo Part 1
The new pianist (part 1 & 2) is a collection of 30 piano studies in the idiom of the 20th century. In the two parts styles come over as beat, blues, jazz- & popballad, funk, dance, swing, rock, rumba and salsa. This music pretends to be both a welcome addition to and an attractive alternative to the classical studies of this level. Think of Heller, Czerny a.o.
The pieces are also very suitable for performing on stage. The feast of recognition will certainly delight the player and listener.
Beste Fons, Sinds kort ben ik in het bezit van je boeken “De nieuwe pianist 1 & 2”. Mijn pianoleraar kreeg het blad Pianowereld, waarin het stuk “Ostinato in jazz” stond. Mijn leraar dacht onmiddellijk aan mij. Ik heb van alles gespeeld: Kabalewski, Mendelssohn, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin. Het bekende repertoire voor iemand die ca.10 jaar les heeft.
Ik zat een beetje in een impasse, totdat mijn leraar jouw composities ontdekte. Ik ben inmiddels in deel 1 begonnen en speel met erg veel plezier “Feel your heart-beat”(graag meer van dit genre), “Ostinato in jazz” en ben nu bezig met “Cinco”. Het is inderdaad zoals je schrijft een welkome aanvulling op het klassieke werk.
