ACTIONS! Saxophone Quartet No2 - a work with a wide variety of new instrumental techniques
Saxophone Quartet no2 was composed for the Aurelia Saxophone Quartet in the late 1990s. It was a time when musicians explored all kinds of new techniques.
So they started asking composers to create new works where they could showcase their new found skills. And this is one of the compositions I made in that time using various uncommon instrumental techniques.
I think this work can be a challenging piece for any saxophone quartet to study and perform. And it may add a somewhat different, interesting but also funny piece to your repertoire
